Plotting question

Hi guys. So I've been chatting with Orihime's player about Junko causing terrible things to happen (because she's been so good until now) but I just wanted to clarify something first.

Since the main plot itself is small-scale (Orihime, Junko and a handful of NPCs she's managed to coerce somehow) I understand it doesn't need to go for approval by itself but there's one thing I did want to check. As part of the game to keep people from finding Orihime, Junko's planning to arrange an incident where it seems like Orihime is hurt and caught up in it (again, using an NPC). What I wanted to check was, what sort of scale could she get away with without needing full-on plot approval? I was thinking something like a building fire or something that would be an incident but contained to a small area but I'm not sure if I need approval for that/where the line is or what else I need to do.

(On a related but different note, one thing I was planning on having Junko do was to develop another brainwashing video with the wider-scale consequences being its own plot later on but perhaps the prototype being part of the handful of minions she has so far. Would this be okay to say she's working on?)

A building fire is fine! We're mostly worried about things that it wouldn't make IC sense for City Guardians not to respond to. A building fire, unless it's clearly suspicious, would moreso be something for the fire department to deal with so it should be fine.

I'm not super familiar with Dangan Ronpa, but as long as it's a brainwashing video that relies on technology and not powers that wouldn't be possible to transmit over the network (i.e. mind control, telepathy, psychic hypnotic suggestion, anything that would require in-person activation, etc.) it should be fine! Please include an OOC note that anyone is welcome to opt out of seeing the video or being affected by it on the post.

Hey mods, I'm curious about a thing.

If I have a character that wants to open a hotel with a spa, restaurant, and night club as part of the hotel's amenities, could they all be opened at once or would there need to be a three month wait in between each amenity?

It would just be a single business with multiple amenities. The owner character would not gain more income based on this unless they expanded into a larger business, but they can have the amenities as needed!

Hi mods! I totally should have asked this ages ago but derp.

One of Gale's pursuits with the whole "Guardian" thing was additional WayPoints throughout Nova so to have better response times for law officials and so civilians can get to a place of safety quicker (like Haller's shelter). He probably would have been pursuing that ICly actively, I'm just bad at everything and forgot to get around to asking this: About how long would that take and how much would it cost? Gale's pay is 16* per month, then down to 7* after rent and a monthly GSRF donation. He would have had that 7* set aside monthly from July to October, then down to 3* in October after starting to pay for Faye as a deputy. Would that 7* (for three months) and the 3* (as of October) be enough to cover expenses for the project or no?


Also totally unrelated question- as of the end of the last Pokemon event, Gale's Tyrunt was level 20. If he trained it over the past few months since the end in his free time, would it be acceptable to say it's gone to 36 since then (enough to evolve into Tyrantrum) or would that need more time?

Yeah go for it! In this case, WaysPoints is actually done through Aster Tech, so he wouldn't be responsible for paying for it (just working with them to get it done). You don't have to worry about expenses, just write up any adjustments for the settings page and we'll add it in. :)

Regarding Stuff From Subarchways

If an object from a subarchway is removed and that subarchway vanishes, does that object vanish? What about animals? Or pokemon?

And if so, if raw material from a subarchway is removed and used to make something does it vanish along with that subarchway?

Koishi has an outfit made of life fibers and with the KLK characters vanishing the archway that the fibers were retrieved from is no longer there. The plot to make and get it working was done in pieces over the course of a year though. I'd be sad to see it go.

Historically, if it's been physically removed from the space it will stay as long as it is not a living being. Living beings are essentially anchored to the subarchways as NPCs and behave as stated in the FAQ.

Quick Christmas thing question!

Hey! I actually wasn't sure how best to get this to you guys quickly. I meant to send it the other day, but had some trouble getting castmate schedules lined up for a discussion...

Basically since the Doctor Who cast has three TARDISes in-game, I was thinking they could do a fun thing where they use the three of them to define a radius within which they recreate a sort of simulation of Gallifrey. Not with actual Time Lords or able to do anything their TARDISes can't already do, and only lasting briefly as a Christmas special thing. I just wanted to check with you guys since I'm thinking of it as being almost like a temporary, toned-down subarchway (again, no Time Lords inside, no access to any super-tech they don't already have, etc). In technobabble terms, they'd be modifying the spacetime surrounded by their TARDISes to make it Gallifrey-like.

I wanted to run it by you guys before making it public, in case there's a problem or caveat or the like! Please let me know if you're fine with it or have some concerns or anything else!

Hey guys! I've got a suggestion for a Pokemon event that would be a little different than previous Pokemon events.

Basically, it requires player participation, but everyone who wants a Pokemon can get one (or more) if they link to threads where their characters are searching. Pokemon would appear in all 5 cities, with specific types found in each city. My suggested breakdown for what types would be where would be:

Fayren - Fairy, Dragon, Ice, Rock
Everglade - Ghost, Dark, Poison
Nova - Electric, Steel, Psychic, Flying
Attleton - Normal, Fighting, Bug, Ground
Genessia - Grass, Fire, Water

As far as getting the Pokemon, I'd suggest that players can get up to six by linking threads, and that they list 3-4 Pokemon of the appropriate typing for where they're searching so it can be randomized through a roll. For example, they'd mention in their top level that they're searching in Everglade, and then can put Phantump, Pumpkaboo and Gastly in their request when they link the thread. In the case of Pokemon with two types, it could be found in either city. All Pokemon would be about levels 3-7, so the Pokemon would have to evolve in game.

Pokemon events have been popular in the game in the past, and I think doing it this way would encourage active participation.

Thank you for the suggestion! We have done City/Area based Pokemon Before in Genessia in a previous Pokemon Event. That one was far more Mod involved as opposed to the ones that followed. Players would note to us where their characters were going to be and would receive encounters based on that.

That said, a Pokemon Event is already being workshopped, though there is no ETA on it. How a character will keep or how many Pokemon they will keep has no been worked out as of yet, though.

Setting up licenses for bounty hunters would be something a government official would do, such as the mayor, as it would technically be a law. If you would like to institute such a law, it would be a good idea to have Remilia run for mayor in September should she not be elected as a Guardian.

Since Dany has been updated, she has really been wanting to be reunited with her son, Drogon. You know, the massive dragon. Now I can obviously see what problems that might entail and I would be fine if there was some kind of magical limitations put on him. She would want to keep him with the wild dragons, so he should be quite content. The poor fellow is all alone now in Westeros.

If this isn't possible, that is totally okay. But I thought I'd ask. :)
