Plotting post: Invasion of Fayren - Mack Attack!
Hi folks! Now that there's a lull between mod plots, I figure now is a good time for Smithy to make his debut.
All the plot really involves is Smithy sending out his first lieutenant: Mack
And his small army of shysters:
Magical, knife-themed machines whose love of bouncing knows no bounds. They'll get up to terrorizing the citizenry of Fayren and...that's it! They have very simple needs.
All we need now is a group of good guys to pound them into coins! If I get enough interest, I'll probably put this up at most a week from now. Here's some ground rules:
1. No bad guys. I'm all for collaborating with other villains, ofc, but none to actually save the day or make a dent in Mack or his forces. Good guys need the work.
2. Power level: low-moderate. These are pretty weak mooks, being that this is Smithy's first lieutenant. You barely have to be above a normie to get rid of them. Not saying overpowered protagonists can't pitch in, but it won't be much of a challenge for them.
3. Goal: Once Mack is defeated, the rest will leave, morale broken. Mack himself can be fought by a group of 3 at most, though less is fine.
4. Other: But even if you're not on the boss-slaying squad, there's still stuff to do! The top level will have various sub-threads with the citizenry needing help from the rest of the Shysters in multiple ways. Of course, if you want your own character to be harassed as well, I'm happy to oblige.
5. Bonus: That's pretty much it! Leave a comment below if you want to get in on this. The more specific, the better! As a bonus, Smithy does have brainwashing powers. If you want something down the line where your character is conned into serving him, let me know so we can plot something out.
As always, feel free to hit me up on
JudgeCF for stuff. Happy Valentine's!

- Well, Tony is the type to jump into a situation he thinks he can take, so he'll try to take on Mack while defeating those Shysters along the way. Of course, I'm okay with him being brainwashed or something. Just let me know regarding about this.
- As for Professor Sycamore, he'll just try to defend the city from the Shysters alongside his Garchomp, whether using Mega Evolution or not.

Also, I would plan for Sycamore to be brainwashed as well, but I have doubts for that. Plus, it might let learn more about Fayren during the incident.
What do you think?

But I like either! Functionally I can see, once the drama dies down, Tony getting knocked about by a stray Shyster, dragged away to be magically brainwashed, then put back as a sleeper agent to pitch in when the time is right.
Obviously Sycamore could do the same function, though they'd probably be more interested in Garchomp. There might be some trainer-pokemon drama if it was just Garchomp.

Also, there is another possibility. Maybe he got knocked out alone and he became a sleeper agent with his Garchomp not knowing what happened.
Of course, that's my imagination gone wild on that possibility, but you get the point.

(i think patchy will just stay out of this though because she can pretty much one-shot anything involved here really)

So far I think we've got Tony and Xander, so there's definitely room! But that could make things a little *too* easy, so it's tough to say. Either way, there's an opportunity for her to strut her stuff. I'll probably get going with this today or tomorrow.

because SMRPG is the best. He's got healing and plant-related powers, so...no subject
Not at all! Just put it up in the main comm
