Arcueid Brunestud

Hello Genessia! My name is Zoe and this is going to be my first time actually trying out a game.

I'll be bringing to you guys one Arcueid Brunestud from TYPE-MOON's well forgotten visual novel that put them on the map, Tsukihime! More specifically I'm going to be playing her primarily from the Melty Blood canonpoint which is supposedly off a visual novel route that was meant to exist and doesn't currently. As for Arcueid herself, the quickest tl;dr way I can describe her is that she's a special kind of vampire whose bloodlust is psychological more than physical and she was artificially created to hunt down other kinds of vampires in the series called Dead Apostles.

You can find out a lot more from her wiki article here and her TVTropes page here for stuff not mentioned on the wiki. It's worth mentioning that even though she's at the top tier of power in terms of TYPE-MOON's many characters, I'll be discussing how any combat related stuff between her and your characters might go beforehand because the last thing I want to do is act like I'm flaunting her power or step on any toes!

As an addendum to the top, Arcueid has an ability called the Mystic Eyes of Enchantment. What these grant her is a "high level of hypnosis" which basically means she can control another's actions. At the lightest sense, she plants "suggestions" into someone's mind (i.e. rather than outright stating a person will believe she's human, she would plant suggestions like "they look human" and "they wear human's clothes" to bring someone to the conclusion that she is indeed a human being) and at the heaviest sense she gains complete mental control over someone. To counteract the metagaming nature this ability has, I've set up a permissions post here. Please post there and let me know if you're okay/not okay with her using them on your character, should it ever be applicable, and to what degree she could do so.

I look forward to threading with all of you and getting myself stuck into Genessia's pace and events, just forgive me if I stumble at all since I don't know how games themselves actually work. It's like when you study something a lot but then have to put it into practice. I've read a lot, just haven't done it before, y'know?

Feel free to add me on Plurk at [plurk.com profile] giantfairy too so we can discuss plotting and stuffs!

So by those who I talked to it appears that I may be playing the first boatgirl type to show up here.

Although to be honest she's a Mental Model and not a Kanmusu of any type.
I do know that Archipelago of Blue Steel is rather unknown, the manga version even less so. But I've been having an itch for playing around her after reading the manga after the anime. And Satori and Koishi did mention this place. Hopefully my buddy who'll be taking Kirishima will show up so we can rig up our start because well Haruna and Kirishima are a natural pair and our chosen Point of Divergence will allow Kirishima to actually show up in her original mental model instead of the form she takes after the battle in Yokosuka.

Still Time to wait for my partner. Not really sure exactly where we're going but I have a strong feeling that both of us will be running at least one thread together to start as we're a dual drop in.

I do have to walk a path narrowly as well Haruna's nature lets her pretty much access networks with ease so she could easily start looking up information on the person she's talking with at times so I guess I need to figure more out about just how much is out there on various people.

Still for ease of communication I've made the The Joint Tactical Network as a Discord channel as it's a lot more accessible than the other methods mentioned. Also if you got more questions don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to answer the best I can.

Also I do not use Plurk so contact me via PM or Discord (Zelinko#9598)
I also really dislike mutlithreading. My threads will be built off a single main thread. Multithreading will result in me more likely than not ignoring your actions if only for keeping actions straight.

Attention everyone! It's time for the election poll for the City Guardian new term (July-December 2017). Here are the rules for voting in the poll:
1. While the instructions here are OOC and the post is in the OOC comm, each vote should be considered a vote cast by your character, not you the player. City Guardian candidates are permitted to vote and may vote for themselves.
2. You cannot use any information that your character does not know in the game to influence the vote. The first day of voting, ICly, every character will receive a copy of a candidate profiles newsletter. Additionally, the debates were on as live television (not a network post) with open attendance if your character wanted to go in person. Characters can also use posts the characters made on the network and newspaper articles at any time to inform their decision.
3. Each character gets one vote for each city, not just the city they reside in.
4. Voting is via secret ballot ICly through a character's device. Characters will have submitted their vote via a notification that popped up on their devices that it was time to vote. Because the voting is done through the devices which check both DNA and memory sets to even work (read the FAQ if you don't know what this is about), no hacking.
5. Your character is not required to vote, but for the duration of the polling period they will have notifications basically 'harassing' them to vote every 5 minutes. It's far worse than a Windows update restart notification.
6. Any characters who have not shown activity during the election period beyond declaring that they are running or have dropped have been removed from the poll.

If you have any questions, reply to this post and a mod will get back to you as soon as possible. Otherwise, click on the cut to vote.
