Hi everyone, me again!

Over the course of the next month or so, I'm going to be trying to update a lot of things and get them more organized so that it's easier for everyone to find everything. While there's a lot of it that's going to take some organization on my side, I would like to ask that ANY PLAYER WITH A CHARACTER WHO HAS A SHOP/BUSINESS REPLY TO THIS POST. Why?

Character-Run Shops and Businesses

Genessia needs an official list of character-run shops and businesses. This will help all players, that means you, to know just what's around and where their character can go around the city! There will still be handwaved locations like generic pawn shop x and that's totally fine, whatever you need, but if your character owns a business then they need to be registered so other characters can officially visit them and actually know they exist! I will be adding them to the settings page and map. That said, here's what I need from you guys...

Please reply to this post with the following information so that we can make it official so that all players have access to information about character-run businesses:

Please replace all of the ALL CAPS portions with the correct information and reply to this post!

If you are unsure about where your character's business is, please check out the settings page! If your character's business is not at a corner, please include the two surrounding cross streets on the map. That's it, nothing super complicated, just a drop in that says "hey I have a business, here it is."

Official Plurk

Many RPers use Plurk nowadays and it's come to my attention that Genessia didn't have one. That's right, didn't. It does now. Genessia is now up as a public plurk for quick updates from the game. All important updates will still be posted in the OOC comm, the plurk will simply provide quick links to information and occasional bonus reminders of things like the Activity Check-In (here). Other content may be added as requested, but it's mostly an aid for easy information access and sharing!

Hey everyone!

It's timmy. Been a while. work sucks..yadayadayada.

So, many plots are happening, and of course I would love to add more.

This is eve, mother of all, primordial being, queen of purgatory, and mother of dragons, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters and whatnot. Fun, right?

So, she's been here for months, and she's not keen yet on making her presence known. But the thing is, her children will make her presence known for her. So in the next few months, people will notice an increase in certain creatures in different cities. I'll kick off January with Azula. She'll be announcing the increase of 'dragons' within Fayren. This will happen sometime mid January.

This is to help all the different guardians. So if you're a guardian, tell me here, and we can plot what population shall increase in your city. ouo

Hey guys, me here! There's a reason I'm on Weiss's account instead of the mod account and that has everything to do with it being a paid account so I can put a poll in. But first and foremost, I'd like to introduce Tamzin as a co-mod. She's been helping me with getting things updated and is making great codes and graphics for us so everything looks shiny, new, and fabulous. We may be accepting applications for one more co-moderator roll at a later point, but she's been doing enough work that she definitely earned the title. If this is something you might be interested in, start thinking about it now. There will be a more specific job description of the duties and expectations of the position and a brief application in the future.

You'll start seeing some of those changes in the upcoming days, along with the elimination of the Application and Reserves pages that were sort of just hanging out and the addition of a "How to Get Started" page that will have brief instructions for new characters and players. Since we don't have applications here like a number of games, there's no little blurb to help everyone figure out what step two is after commenting the taken list, so that's basically what the page is going to be. A helpful little instruction guide!

The last thing would be the part that the poll is about. It's a change to one of the rules that I think is reasonable, but I wanted to check with all of you first because while it is slight, it may have an affect on how some people play. As I can't possibly stalk every thread in the game, I'm not sure how much it will matter, but that's why I wanted to check with everyone first!

Current Rule: Once an archway is opened, it stays open no matter what. The price was paid, that's that.

Proposed Rule: As long as the price was once paid, the archway will remain open as long as there is someone from the world still present in the game. If it is not, the archway will disappear until someone from the canon returns to the game. It will reopen upon re-establishing a connection to that world.
*Real-world places like modern Tokyo, Paris, etc. will stay unless they are a very specific version of it (Like Tokyo from the year 5031 opened by a sci-fi character, for example) as there are usually multiple characters who would normally have access to cities like that in their world.

Why this change? If there is no one from the world in the game, then we don't know exactly what information is there without extensive research and it also seems a little odd to have characters going into worlds that we don't have ready access information about and it can be awkward for people coming in to see "Hey there's no one playing the Ice King right now so why.. is his palace there...?" The new proposed rule will also make it easier to keep track of the world so that it doesn't get out of hand, but still make it so that characters coming in do not have to pay a repeated price. From an IC standpoint, it would simply be that Genessia needs a connection to the world to establish a subarchway.
