Use the four pokeballs to buff up Chimchar and then Minako will hope to god that would be enough to attempt to catch one pokemon today.

After using three Poke Balls, Chimchar begins to glow. Chimchar is trying to evolve! Will you allow it?

She'll allow it too because she is quite curious to see what he'll evolve to.

Chimchar has evolved into Monferno! It learns Mach Punch (Fighting). The final Pokeball allows Monferno to reach Level 15.

You encounter a Level 1 Shuppet. POKEBALL GO!

1st Great Ball Attempt...FAIL.
2nd Great Ball Attempt...FAIL.

Sadly, the Shuppet escapes.

Now THAT is some really terrible luck if she can't even catch a level 1

At least her starter is still conscious. You can go pick a fight with someone else's Pokemon party if you wish!
