Last Mod Announcement of 2019

The mods discussed the current state of the game, and came to the decision that it would be best to let Genessia go on a sort of hiatus starting now and lasting until January. The events and setting elements just aren't getting much traction, and there's no sense in creating more metaplot opportunities that are going to get neglected or passed over save for a very small active few players who have been doing their best to participate and contribute (thank you to those folks, you know who you are!).

While the game is on hiatus, you have the option of putting your character into stasis or carrying on with their daily lives as per usual. The mods will only approve/reject requests to join the comm (a comment to the Taken Page is still required), but beyond that we won't be updating lists or running events. There won't be any AC during this time. Tori-mod has offered to continue hosting the harvest party if there's enough interest, so please let her know if that's something you'd like. Players are of course welcome to host events and run plots for one another. This is a great opportunity to voice test characters in an already-fleshed-out setting with plenty of RP hooks to explore and enjoy. You won't need mod approval to host an event or go on an adventure, just don't go *too* bananas and set everything on fire.

We're hoping that giving people a break from the game will allow people a chance to miss it, and hopefully encourage more engagement once the game resumes. This will also give the head mod time to come up with a more organized schedule for metaplot clues and events to be accessed. Gameplay is typically slow during the holidays anyway, so this seems like the right time to let things rest for a while.

We know some people won't be happy about this, and that there's a risk that the game might just fizzle out entirely as a result. The game's been heading in that direction for a while anyway, so while we'd like for it to pull through, we're prepared to let it go if there's just not enough activity and interest to justify putting our time and energy into maintaining it.

So happy holidays, Genessia! We'll see you again in an official capacity in 2020!
