Hello hello! It has been a very long time since I've moderated this game, and I have nothing but the most sincere appreciation to Tay, Dave, Lisa, and all the other players and helpermods who have kept Genessia going through all of the years. It's amazing to me that it's continued, and I know that's due to the time, effort, and talent that everyone has contributed.

For the past couple of days, after I offered to step in when I heard a new mod was needed, I've been making several notes and plans about things I would like to introduce as well as things I'd like to change. Rather than take a sledgehammer to everything immediately, I'll share those notes with you. I'm going to need your input, feedback, and help for a lot of these things, so buckle in! And don't be afraid to speak up about things that aren't on the list, it will help to know where current interests lie.

I'm also very happy to say that Mags has volunteered to assist with list-mod duties. Thank you, Mags! Between the two of us, we should be able to keep things running smoothly.

Also as far as things that will NOT be changing, AC will still be a check-in, apps are still not required, and there will still be a newspaper and bounty hunting opportunities. I hope you're as excited as I am for the upcoming changes! In the meantime, I'm going to be reviewing a lot of the rules, FAQ's, and other pages to see if everything is up to date or needs a little tweaking to keep the game chugging along in a fun and engaging way.

Welcome to the easiest Activity Check ever! Comment with your name AND the full names of the characters you're still interested in playing and have been playing actively (if you have no game tags featuring your character in the past 4 months you are not playing them actively). You have until June 30th at 11:59pm PST to do this. Don't procrastinate or put it off, just toss on your info and enjoy an awesome day!

You do not need to check in if:
-Your new character entered the game on June 1st or later. Your comment will still be on the Taken Characters page. If it's not there, check in.
-You're on a declared and active hiatus of which dates must reach or exceed June 30th to count. If you come back in May/June or don't declare it until after today, check in. No retroactive hiatusing if you didn't do anything for 4 months.

This post will be stickied at the top of the OOC comm so it's easy to find.

PSA: If you check-in and you have nothing or next to nothing in your tags for the last four months, you're going to get flagged and PMed by a moderator and have to link us to proof of your character's activity. We don't want to stress you out, but you know. Use your entry tags! If you didn't do it, you're gonna get a PM because we have to prevent character squatting. If you don't respond to that PM, you're gonna get dropped.

Hey, guys! Heather here! I haven't played here in a little over a year (some of you may remember me, but if not it won't hurt my feelings, honest)! Anyway, I'm bringing with me Loki Laufeyson of MCU fame, after the end of Thor: Ragnarok, where he's a little less of a villain and more of an antihero, but that doesn't stop him from being his mischievous self...and possibly selling his brother for profit.

WAO it's been a hot minute since I did an OOC intro post so let's see if I can remember how these bad boys go.

Hello! My name's Claire (she/her) and I'm COMPLETELY new to Genessia. I've had a few friends play here over the years but I've never actually dipped my toe in here myself.

I'm bringing (brynging??) an OC of mine, Bryn Pendragon! She's a human girl from a land called Seidrfold, which draws inspiration from Norse and Scandinavian mythology. More specific to Bryn, she's a human who's formed something called a Pact with a dragon which imbues her with its powers. Great! Except if she ever breaks that Pact, she'll devolve into an animalistic monster with no control over herself! Not so great.

She's friendly and curious but she's also kind of an airhead who has exactly one functional braincell and unfortunately, he's one of her canonmates who isn't in the game. TIME FOR HER TO GET IN TROUBLE!!

Faetan here! I figure I should have at least a couple of characters in play here and there, so I rolled out three (FOR NOW)! So you get...

Kimberly Hart from the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers! She's from the first season canonically, and will be here to shop, make friends (while missing her old friends), and anonymously fight crime in pink spandex with a bow and a giant pterodactyl robot. She's a super friendly teenage girl, an amazing gymnast, and she enjoys gardening and taking care of flowers.

Second is Yoruichi Shihouin from Bleach! Yoruichi is hundreds of years old, a shinigami, and a noblewoman in her own right. She's also a massive troll who enjoys teasing prudes, ditching her clothes, and wandering around in the guise of a black cat with a strangely manly voice. She'll likely be in full cat mode for the first few weeks while she silently gathers information and likely won't talk to people, but may if she feels it's worthwhile.

Finally, villainy can never be escaped. Mother Brain is back, babycakes, and with her she'll be bringing her Board of Evil Deeds to start organizing some crime around these parts. She'll be pleased to hire henchmen, and will be a ready source of plots ranging from a small scale to a big one, and with the upcoming villains-only city, she can relax and showcase all of her villainy without any attempt to be subtle about it. She has a permissions post on her journal for now, but will be added to the general villainy board once its been set up. She won't intro until Somorrah is ready to go, but I'm happy to make plans in the meantime!
