All right! I'm off hiatus on Tuesday and Roman's coming back with a bang. Basically, he wants to conquer a subarchway. During my hiatus he was probably laying low and building up his connections/supplies/strategies, so if anyone wants in on this, let me know and we can backdate or handwave to your liking! There will be some buildup throughout this month. Kazuya will be setting up a branch of G Corporation in the target subarchway. Ideally I'd like to get some people, PCs or NPCs, infiltrating the power structure there. Things like that. Then, in June when the Guardians switch, Roman will take advantage of the transition period to make his big move and try full on hostile takeover.

So! We're looking for people who would like to volunteer a subarchway to be conquered! Or at least to have some serious unrest and damage while he tries to conquer it.

I have this jerk here who could be persuaded/interested in helping out if it means she gets to cause some misery.

She'd be able to help out with some sneaky wrong doings and the hostile takeover part of this.

Oh right, she has a civilian personality, right? Would she be interested in using that to infiltrate somehow? I'm not sure if she's into actual undercover work or if she'd be more the type to just place bugs/get blueprints/general information gathering.

There's definitely misery though. Roman's honestly more interested in the hostile takeover than in ruling in the aftermath, so any misery that she wants to inflict upon the people, she's free to.

She could certainly set up shop there. She used it to get close to her enemies to get closer to them and possibly stealing their transformation items in the series but it never ended up working out too well for her.

She's still pretty young civilian ID wise so that may hinder how much undercover work she can actually do.

The hostile take over is a whole lot more up her alley as she'd only really want to see her boss in charge and well he isn't really around here to do that. She'd be more than willing to help in the take over though with some monster of the week style chaos.

So yeah she'd probably be able to help with both!

Izumi here would be a part of this due to being an agent of G Corporation. Expect some teeth-clenched teamwork with this lady, but she will do anything to get the job done in G Corp's name.

New York City and Tokyo would be the best choices for Izumi, ICly. It won't be too much of a stretch to say she's been to both places and knows her way around town, even if these two cities are not exactly the same New York and Tokyo she knows. She has barrier powers that could also turn things invisible, so it's great for sneaking into high-security places.

Koishi totally doesn't have a wonderfully large and mysterious sub archway in fayren thats ripe for taking. Nosiree. It's not like its defended by all manner of legendary creatures and eldritch hellbeasts and its no like the sub archway is actually connected to the real life no, really, its right there in front of you Hell of Blazing Fires...

It's not like its a terrible TERRIBLE idea to try and take it over...

I already told you on Plurk, but for public record: Roman's not going for this because he figures anything with 'Hell' in the name is a pretty hard target and he's ~~a lazy bastard~~ too clever for that.

I know. I'm just teasing :P

So!

Bridget is going crazy-vigilante-lady with superpowers due to Mercury, aren't you thrilled! She's been a bit lax with tracking Roman due to his low-key theatrics and what she considers childish antics when it comes to the underbelly of society... But Mercury killed her ~~pet hamster~~ blooming friendship kid so now she's going full out telepathic-stalker in Nova and Attleton with permission from city guardians, Nova she'll be going all-out in every public area possible. My thoughts were that she'd be randomly searching each realm in rolling searches depending on how likely she has considered each dimension. Nova(full out person-by-person, mile-square search areas) will be her main search area with a third of her time followed by Genessia (public rolling scans for 'unusual minds'), then followed by Attleton(again, full-on invasion) and Everglade(public-area scans for 'unusual minds', but she's going to be buying informants one non-human to another). Fayren is considered the least likely due to lack of 'comforting' technology and the idea that humans are a minority and far easier to keep track of.

So, yeah... Bridget has pretty much spent the last 1000 years honing her skills in tracking/spying/ect on the underbelly of the world. I actually feel sorry for Roman! I DO think Aura will hamper her a bit in reading/tracking, but on the flip side she is marking all 'unusual' brains for remote tracking and investigation.

Excellent! Mercury will actually be working with Roman, but that won't be immediately obvious even if she's tracking them. They don't spend much time together on account of hating each other.

At what point would she step in, and what's she going to do? I'm all for him getting smacked down but it'd be fun to let him make a bit of a mess first.

Ginko here isn't the most subtle of people, er, bears. Yet, plots like this sometimes needs muscle and she can provide some mayhem while the infiltrating is happening. She might need a reason to join up but she's never been known for being smart. Ginko would do anything if it would mean making Genessia safer for a certain person if she ever arrives here.

Doesn't hurt that she thinks of herself as a criminal and was a child soldier. Plus side, if any murder needs to happen? It'll look like a freak animal attack.

Sounds good to me! They'll have to meet first, though. What's Ginko up to these days?

Well, aside from being a bum and observing the Bay constantly? There might have been one or two very unusual attacks in Genessia City that were Ginko. Probably wouldn't be very hard for the criminal underground to get a hold of that information.

All right. Want to thread out their meeting or just handwave it? I want to thread with her eventually either way just for fun and new CR but there'll be other opportunities I'm sure.

Anyway just brainstorming but what do you think about him seeking her out specifically for something he needs to look like a freak animal attack? If, say, he needs to kill some authority figure during the sneaky infiltration period. Police chief or something like that. He'd offer her money unless he could gather enough information to offer a more personal and persuasive reward. I'm canonblind though, so if you want a more interesting reward you'll need to tell me a bit about what motivates her.

We can thread out their meeting but I think, for this plot, it's not necessary. Eventually, we'll thread them together, though!

That definitely would work. Ginko's motivations are very simple but I think money would be the best reward for her, since the only thing that really Roman could reward her with is food. She's a very hungry girl. Though, it's also probable she'd do it pro bono if she thought doing so would make said subarchway safe since her big motivation is that she wants to be with a certain person and keep them safe. Said person isn't here at the moment but securing a place for them would definitely motivate Ginko to help.

I'm sorry, that's my mistake. I saw 'opened by Uva' and there was no Uva on the list, and somehow it never occurred to me that a dropped character is not the same as a dropped player. If I had realized I would have asked you first.
