Oh the weather outside is fright…ful…

O-oh. But it really is.

In fact, it’s downright dangerous for most of Genessia’s citizens, save those with an inclination for the inclement. Streets are slick with ice, despite the valiant efforts of the G-Dot (Genessian Department of Transportation) crews, and shops are being forced to restrict their business hours to the short span of sweet, sweet daylight… at least, when their part of the grid has power. Outages have been reported on and off throughout each of the cities, afterall. The powers that be are working diligently to restore the downed areas as quickly as possible.

Fortunately, the sweeping cold front isn’t around long. In fact, by the later mid-month, things have leveled out to a normal, beautiful December filled with holly jolly sleigh bells, twinkling store fronts and the spirit of…something in the air.

Hum BUG
Something very un-exciting. Hope everyone got their flu shot this season, because that something certainly isn’t a joke. In fact, those who happen to catch the un-merry ailment are likely to be down for a good while… a week at best. The very effective affliction comes complete with high fevers, achy joints, and the loveliest of coughs, all of which seem to only be cured by good old fashioned time. Health officials urge those unfortunate few to tuck in tight and let the bug run its course; no need to risk exposing your friends! Should any healers be available to help speed up the process, they do ask that they make their services known via Network.

Snowgie Spirit
While the healers work their magic and the flu sweeps through the down, Santa is hard at work on making this the best holiday season he can. This year, he has hired an entire fleet of magic snowballs to help deliver his gifts this year. Much tinier and MUCH more adorable than last year’s disaster, these snowgies are extremely affectionate and sweet… mostly. In fact, some might find them a little too affectionate, while others that hinder their mission to deliver joy and happiness might find themselves face to face with an angry little ball of ice… and all its friends. They stick together, will NOT tolerate holiday hindrances, and are determined that everyone will feel the spirit this year!

In any case, despite the annoyance of little balls of ice chasing people down, they do have something of value to deliver. When the correct snowgie finds its target, each citizen will receive one gift from Santa this year, and they’ll be shocked to find that it’s from home.

In addition to gifts and little living snowballs, mistletoe and holly seem to be blooming everywhere and creeping up in inappropriate places. Do with those what you will, but keep in mind that should they be destroyed, they'll only grow back faster and stronger...
