Fireworks Party
Roland wanted to throw a party with fireworks for July 4th, because you don't become President without being at least a little patriotic. While shopping around with fireworks companies, he found a company in Nova City that wanted to show off some fancy new fireworks they made, and were willing to sponsor the party in exchange for the free advertising that would result. Handing most of the control over the party to the company did make it a little bigger than he anticipated, though.
The rest I'll cover in Q and A form:
When and where is this party taking place?
Nova City Beach, afternoon-evening, on Friday, July 5th. Yes, this overlaps with the Pokemon event, so feel free to bring your Pokemon.
Who can come to the party?
Anyone, as long as they behave themselves!
How will my character know about the party?
This will have to be backdated a little, but flyers advertising the party have already been mailed out!
What will this party consist of?
Pretty much whatever is typical for a summer beach party! Food, set up pavilions to keep out of the sun, music, etc, along with a big fireworks display when it gets dark. The fireworks company will have a few employees handing out small personal fireworks (sparklers, poppers) for free, and will provide a few chances to win stuff from the small shop they're running (holding more fireworks and company swag) as part of their sponsorship.
Aw, sweet! I'm going to hit the bar!
This is a dry party, sorry; alcohol and explosives don't mix. No alcohol will be served, and anyone caught with alcohol and/or obviously drunk will be escorted from the premises until they get rid of the alcohol and/or sober up. Have all the soda/water/juice/etc you want, though!
Can my villain character crash the party with *insert criminal act here*?
Please don't.
Can I sign up to have my character work at the party as an entertainer/cook/lifeguard/journalist/security/etc?
Go for it, that's what the comments below are for! Again, this will have to be backdated a little. Assume that those hiring will be looking for experience and will perform background checks, so be sure your character is qualified for whatever you want them to do before committing. If not, they're always welcome as a regular guest!
Other questions!
If you have any other questions, that is also what the comments below are for!
