+1 Grumpy Shadowhunter

Hello! I'm a newbie to the game bringing in Alec Lightwood from the Shadowhunter books. He's part angel and hunts demons. He's lived in isolation most of his life and he's an introvert so he's socially awkward. He also is both grumpy cat and the squad mom of any group. His pb is from the Shadowhunter TV show but the canons diverge quite a bit as the show progressed. His canon point is at the end of City of Heavenly Fire, before Magnus talks to him so he's a heartbroken boy who doesn't think he'll get his happy ending.

He's one of the best archers among the Shadowhunters, spent the majority of his life training to fight supernatural creatures, and is a huge advocate for equal rights since he spent most of his life living in a bigoted society. I have no idea what type of job he'll have or what to do with him here, but I'm excited to throw him into the game.

Is he coming with his Boomtown CR?

He isn't, but he has the same canon point. So he wouldn't recognize Regina but he'll be the same awkward hunter he was before. I'd love for him to meet her and try to get used to the idea that fairy tales really are true in another reality.

I don't think he would now but a few years ago he would. I usually use the TV actors now to make things easier if he meets people from the TV show.

Alec thinks there are scales for crazy. The usual 'take over the world' level or 'rips wings off angels' crazy? LOL

Is Gellert going to wonder about someone wandering around with runes all over his body?

Well I would say the usual take over the world crazy, but Gellert is pretty special even in that regard. He is just as bright as Dumbledore and just as powerful too.

The usual take over the world crazy Alec can probably deal with. Powerful magic is something Alec's used to and he'll be fascinated with magic that's different than his world's.

Is Gellert been trying to take over the world lately?

For some silly reason I'm imagining wizards and witches studying Alec like he's some rare species and he keeps telling them "No you can't try runes. They'll drive you mad or destroy things."

Hello demon hunter, meet the actual Devil! (Also, in Lucifer's canon, the angels are his siblings, so someone who's part angel would therefore be related to him, although he'd have a hard time believing that any of his angelic siblings procreated with a human, so there's that.)

I love the idea of Alec meeting Lucifer since he does exist in their book canon but Lucifer isn't interested in the world. (They assume.) And he's met a Prince of Hell (and dated one's son) so that can break Alec's brain. While he explains that Shadowhunters weren't made THAT way. LOL

That will definitely help, because he can't imagine any of his siblings actually doing that (except for one, and that's a special case) and then he can explain that he because that would be a terrible idea and he makes sure to be very careful about that. Just as long as Alec doesn't try to kill him, it should be okay!

Alec would appreciate knowing that Lucifer isn't like the Fallen Angels in his world since they aren't that careful.

He knows better than to try to kill him unless he absolutely had to. His sense of self preservation is too high for that.

Good. He likes it better when there aren't people trying to kill him. Not that most of them could succeed anyway.
