Hello! Miri here, bringing in one Mr. Gold (aka, Rumpelstiltskin, aka new King of Camelot, aka, the Dark One). Due to the fact his canon point is the S5 finale of OUAT, there's bound to be spoilers in any of his introspective posts. Just so people are warned if they don't want spoiled.

Due to the S5a finale, he'll be coming in with a crapload of power. However, due to the fact his heart was purified (thus turning it white), and the fact he won't want to run the risk of darkening it as before, he won't be using his magic as much as he has before.

He definitely won't be killing anything except things that attack him first or attack those he's decided to defend; of course he still has his temper, but I suspect he'll be using physical means to express it if necessary that are less than lethal. He's also always still up for making deals as well obviously, just please don't try blackmailing him. It's getting rather old. Especially blackmail involving Belle, he'll get more than a little testy over that.

Due to the S5b finale, he was seeking to recover his wife from Hyde. Obviously the portal he walked into didn't land him where he wanted to be, so at first he's going to be testy. Especially when he's made aware there's no way out/back. He's tired of people and the universe conspiring to separate him from his family gdi

Also S5 is good in spots, but not as a whole (unless you're a CS shipper imo) ; I have many ranty-feelings on OUAT after S3a. /cry

Oh man, Urtho -- the man Drake literally is stated to go weak in the knees around. He'd be so torn between OMG URTHO YOU'RE ALIVE AGAIN and sad because this is his forth time ending up on another world, and so he knows how temporary it can be...

I feel like he'd be rough to sustain in RP though. Mostly because I feel like he'd putter off to the nearest library and not be seen again for years.

I used to play Skandranon, too, on another game... but ran into a similar problem with him.

Edit: You know what this means, right? It means Drake and Gold have to interact at some point.

Yesss, pls. And I agree, the moment Urtho realized he was stuck here and couldn't go back to help people, he'd end up burying himself in books and "what is being social again?"

Gold can be tricky to rp in some settings, because he is, I feel, not an overly social person himself. Unless he feels the need to be so for business reasons (or for Belle, should she be in the region. Belle is like 85% of his impulse control + sociability tbh.)

Luckily for us Drake's good with less socially-graceful people! Between the whole kestra'chern thing and the whole Empath thing. And this is Drake from about a year after White Gryphon, so he's been at it for most of his life. :)

Also, he has like ten messenger birds with him. So there's that little flock of colorful, loud ice-breakers.

OMG I nearly forgot about his empathy... poor Drake when he gets around Gold, given Gold is rather bad about letting his emotions fester instead of expressing them most of the time.

Though perhaps this is a good thing as I'm p. sure Drake should recognize PTSD and perhaps can help Gold with that, eh?

Well, power is the one thing that's never walked out on him amiright? also just look at what happens to him when he doesn't have it? he gets kidnapped, used and has trouble defending people he cares most about. Course he loves power I think because of what it lets him be capable of doing and not for power in and of itself.

But god yes, I agree with you on most of S5 being a disaster. I just love the self-confidence/self esteem that he gained through the events of S5.

I sadly can't recall the name of it and I suspect he's been purged as I've not touched my lj's save for my qui-gon and one seph journal there I think. I was in vatheon, star kingdom and two other games who's names escape me. As for gyakusai, I don't think so. The name doesn't ring any bells. I only ever toyed with Kris in a musebox iirc. I think it was him while he was in jail, and getting a visit from someone.
