After a lot of thought, brainstorming, and reluctance, I feel like it's time to pull off the band-aid. Laharl has been doing nothing, and I can't think of anything for him to do, and I don't want him to steamroll other people's stuff so the bittiest Overlord is going back to the Netherworld where he belongs.
HOWEVER. This does not mean you'll be free of me. Far from it. I'm already thinking of who I should bring in to fill the void Laharl's massive ego left. So yeah. That's a thing that will happen.
