What stays the same?
The setting, the IC rules and stuff. Many things! The character limit remains the same, as does the rule about muncest (i.e. don't do that).
What changed?
Applications are no longer necessary to be part of the game. In order to join, you'll need to follow these steps:
1. Post on the 'Taken Characters' page if the character you want is not listed.
2. Join the communities.
3. After approval to the OOC community, comment on the 'Contact' page. You're done! Start playing!
There will also no longer be an activity check. However, if there are no tags on any posts in the past two months, we'll assume you don't want to play the character anymore and someone else can apply for that character. But until someone does apply, you can play your character whenever you want. You'll only lose the character if someone else is champing at the bit and can be more active than you. Please don't squat! If you really don't want to play someone anymore, please post to the 'Dropped' page instead of going idle. It's just good manners.
There will be less moderation in general, save for the game's overarching plot. If you guys want to play out character plots, fight monsters, hit each other, and be jerks, DO IT. You can plot with the mod if you still want to, but don't feel like you have to perform an intricate song and dance to get permission to start some excitement. Go forth and do EVERYTHING.
