Mod Applications Open
Hello everyone!
I've really enjoyed being your head moderator for the time period I was able to. It's been a fantastic experience and I look forward to continuing to help as an Assistant Moderator (helping with mod-run plots and general advice for the current mods). I wish I could stay on as Head Moderator, but due to the fact that I got a full-time job and am going to be trying to move out into the world on my own soon, I'm choosing to step down for my sanity, my ability to continue RPing, and the overall benefit of the RP.
The current moderators, Lisa and Dave, will be more in charge now and would like to restructure the moderation team to have it be a three-way mod team (plus me as assistant). That said, that means we need a third mod and would like to open up applications. Because the mod team will be restructured, we cannot detail every single thing that you will be doing yet, but once a mod is selected, duties will be divided evenly between the three moderators.
If you are interested in becoming Genessia's third moderator, submit your application by October 24th, 2015! You must be a current, active member of the game for your application to be considered.
When you submit, only the questions should be bolded. Please put your answers in plain text after the question. All application submissions will be screened, then discussed by the current moderators (Taylor, Dave, and Lisa) to determine who the best candidate and the best fit for the team is. While we will make a decision with the best interest of the game in mind, please keep in mind that it's necessary that we be able to work as a team and will therefore not be having this decision as an election.
However, if you have any well-reasoned objections as to why a particular individual should not be allowed to be a moderator, you are welcome to reply to this post. Please be aware that if you have a legitimate claim, it will need to be backed up with evidence as to why you believe someone should not be allowed to be a moderator. This will not be considered a complaint and no one will get in trouble, it simply may be taken into account as to whether or not a person is fit to moderate Genessia.
Only the moderators will see any applications or objections during this process for privacy reasons. Please be aware that if you are not chosen, it does not reflect on our opinions of you, it's simply that we believed someone else was the best fit rather than a good fit or even an amazing fit. We will only be choosing one person even though it's entirely possible we will have many good candidates.
I will be continuing to act as Head Mod until the third team member is selected and oriented. Good luck to everyone and thanks for everyone's support!
