Gotcha, thanks for the answers. In that case, would the utility moves usually taught by HMs have much benefit environmentally? So far I've been playing it that only pokemon that know "Fly" can actually do that with their trainers, but since the seventh generation, those no longer do anything outside of battle. Like Teleport, Flash, etc.
