Prom Planning?

So, first of all, I want to begin by apologizing because this idea literally did not occur to me until I saw people asking on Plurk.


It has been brought to my attention that there are a few people confused with regards to the upcoming Prom Player Plot try saying that five times fast. The first of which being YES, it is still happening. I was asked to take over the plot after the person who originated the idea dropped, so IC Hikari here will be the one completing the behind-the-scenes organization necessary to keep things on schedule.

IC, Prom will take place on MAY 19th.

OOC, I will be posting the main log this Friday evening. I have most of it typed up, but will be away for a large portion of Saturday and Sunday (Sweet Sixteens and Graduations and belated Mother's Day Dinners), so I wanted to make sure to get it posted for everyone in time for weekend tagging.

A few other things to note:

1. EVERYONE Is invited.  It's a Prom, yes, but not one restricted to high school age characters. Date are optional.  If you have multiple dates, you're responsible for arranging your own party bus.  Hikari will have nothing to do with transportation.
2. CHAPERONES are welcome to handwave requests for volunteering for that night; I'm afraid I don't know exactly who had planned that out beforehand with Mimi, so if you are interested in having your character take on the role for the evening, then feel free to just tag into the log accordingly.  It's fine.
3. PRE-PROM DECORATION COMMITTEE will have it's own prompt in the log.  Once again, I'm cool with handwaving anybody who last minute decides they want to be a part of that as well
4. The theme is DANCING IN THE STARLIGHT, according to the original invitation sent out by Mimi.
5. Prom will take place at the CASTLE ROYALE HOTEL in GENESSIA CITY.  In case this information is important to you or your character.
6. Beyond the usual prompts (dancing, eating, prom photos, mingling, etc), any other events you think your character might get up to is fine so long as the resultant consequences do not reflect negatively on Hikari.  Basically, nothing that results in major structural damage or anything that would piss off hotel employees.  If you're not sure, just ask and I'm sure we can work something out ooc.  Much obliged.
7. THE PROFESSOR (aka 12th Doctor) is still heading up the Live Band performing that night, along with whomever else is being recruited.  There may be a DJ to continue music during their breaks/downtime as well.
8. THERE MAY OR MAY NOT BE AN ALTERNATIVE PLOT FOR UNINTERESTED ADULT PARTIES IN THE WORKS.  If so, it is not directly related to this plot and I have no direct knowledge of it.  Sorry.
9. ...and, honestly, even if there's not, there's no reason said uninterested adult parties can't have their own night out on the town.  They don't even need chaperones!  That's a lie they probably do
10. HAVE FUN!   ...no, seriously, this is supposed to be a light-hearted event filled with all those delightful cliches and minimal heartache.
