They will be in locations listed on the settings page, though it may be a specific area of them. For example: If someone posted "the pool at the school" and the spirit was in "the classroom at the school" then it would not count. Or if they went into a store, it would be a good idea to specify if your character checked behind the counter / in the backroom as well, since most people don't rush to check employees-only areas. However, both spirits will definitely be at some location that is listed on the settings page.

Additionally, the spirits will not be in a subarchway.
