Located at Thistle Street and 22nd Avenue. Here, a character may apply for a job, or fill out an application to open up their own business. In the case of the latter, the building will appear after 24 hours in the location that was requested if said location has not already been claimed by another citizen (for example, you couldn't put an auto garage on the same address as the library). The rate of pay for posted jobs is indicated by stars, with one star being a very low-paying job, and five stars indicating a very high-paying job. The more stars there are, the more likely the job will require advanced skills, or indicate a high degree of risk, or simply be a position in high demand. Please read more details about employment here.

If your character's employment is a one-time commission or is from bounties listed in the newspaper, you do not need to comment the employment page to claim. It is considered one time and not sustainable payment.
If your character is freelancing, they will make less than the standard position offering.
SPECIAL NOTES: If your character is working part-time only, then subtract one star from their pay UNLESS they are * or ** jobs- those stay the same. If the job that you want for your character is not on this list, you may still sign your character up for it. A mod may change the pay grade if they believe the character should be paid differently than your request, but will contact you to let you know if this is the case with the reason and what the new pay grade will be if the job is not listed in the general pay guide.
Bounty Hunters can now gain an extra * payment for each year that they are active up to 5 Stars. The reasoning being that they have established themselves as a well known and effective bounty hunter and can therefore charge more for jobs. If your character has been employed as a Commission Based Bounty Hunter for the appropriate amount of time, please leave a comment on this board about obtaining a pay increase.
1 Your character must have worked for any other business for at least one month in-game before creating their own business. This is equal parts for encouraging interaction between characters instead of everyone having an individual business with no employees and to save the mods work when people pick up characters, make a business, and then never ever do anything with it besides make extra work for clearing it out.
✝ Large businesses can only be created by characters who meet the following experience requirements: 2 months owning a small business + 1 month working a non-ownership job that is non-variable (concurrent is ok), or 3 months (non-concurrent) of any non-variable job.
IMPORTANT: If the business is character owned, to get a job at these businesses, ask if it's OK with the owner by contacting the character's player before commenting.
